Hortika

Born in England, Jai Francis Cheswick's childhood was defined by summer holidays in Malta. The courtyard garden of the families summer residence offered a vibrant tapestry – fig trees reaching for the sun, bougainvillea cascading over walls, and cacti guarding hidden corners. Here, amidst the colourful butterflies, hum of bees and the intoxicating scent of jasmine, Jai found himself enthralled by nature.

As he grew older, his passion for shaping landscapes blossomed. He devoured books, his imagination ignited by tales of faraway lands and exotic flora. Jai completed degrees in horticulture and landscape architecture with mentoring from the likes of Christopher Lloyd (Great Dixter) and Tom Wright (Author).

Moving to Melbourne Australia, Jai encountered meditation, finding peace amidst life's chaos. When he established "Hortika," he wove his passion for nature & landscape architecture with the self-understanding he had found in a 12yr apprenticeship with a meditation master.

Hortika embodies the transformative power of nature, a harmonious blend of the wild and the serene. It offers not just visual beauty, but a holistic approach to well-being, incorporating elements of counselling, aromatherapy, and somatic therapy to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
